Intimate wedding vs Traditional wedding

An intimate wedding throws the rulebook out in favor of a more intentional experience and replaces the traditional wedding. An intimate wedding can be very different for each couple. One couple may rent a campground for the weekend with their friends and enjoy each other’s company over a bonfire after saying I do. While another couple may have a small ceremony on top of a mountain with ten of their best friends. Some couples may even like to hike to beautiful waterfalls to say I do. A lot of couples decide to get married on the beach of an exotic Island. It can be wherever and whatever you want. The main thing is creating an atmosphere that allows for true vulnerability and an authentic experience for you, your family and close friends.  There is no stressful schedule or traditions you have to go through when having an intimate wedding.

Remember that big and traditional isn’t for everyone these days. If you would rather attend a small gathering around a table that feels like a family Thanksgiving dinner. Enjoy 50 great friends and family members gathered around a campfire telling stories about the two of you as you laugh and gaze into each other’s eyes.  It’s a beautiful way to celebrate a marriage and if that sounds like an experience you want, Then I would love to be part of that.

My wife and I planned an intimate wedding at the Cumberland Falls Resort in Kentucky with about fifty people almost twenty years ago. I would not change one thing about that day if I could. Tom Boles
